Prioritization

"You are a producer in your own right" - Lord Shu

Do you want to do many things in your life, but you don’t know which ones to start with? Do you feel confused when you try to make goals for yourself? Sometimes, we don’t do the things we want to do because we don’t have enough time. We don’t know how to choose the most important things to do first. This can make us feel sad and unhappy. We might miss out on some fun and exciting things in our life. We might regret not doing the things we love or care about. We might wish we had more time to do everything we want. There is a way to help us with this problem. It is called prioritization. Prioritization means deciding which things are more important or urgent than others. It helps us to use our time wisely and do the things that matter most to us. I will tell you how I use prioritization in my life to make good decisions.

Goal-setting

I mentioned in this post how when Kidd moved in with me, I applied the first Key which was “spiritual work”. I had to stop all distractions that had control over me and balance my life. Keys to The Island nurtured my awareness in this process by helping me realize what my goals were. I had many goals and some of them were results of completing others. First, I had to realize the bigger picture. What was the main goal I was working to accomplish in my life? In my case, it was focusing on my spiritual work so I looked at the smaller goals that led to my expansion of spiritual work. When you are looking to complete your main goal, you must see which ones can take you the farthest in their completion.

The little goals do make a difference but there are steps that are fundamental which can push your knowledge base further to complete small goals with haste.

Second, having the right environment to complete goals makes a huge difference. Your mental and physical environment should be your first or second goals to prioritize. Your number one goal is yourself and to put anything over you is counterproductive. The last step is to set aside time to complete your goals daily. It’s important to make the plan AND follow through to succeed.

Success

These steps took me from simply having a small group of people to me writing Keys to The Island. This did not happen overnight, which is why I want you to really know which goals can push you further. It took me 3-5 years to really see my spiritual life come into balance with my physical life. You may have similar results if you have a big vision but anything is possible with consistency. Take note of your progress and be honest with yourself about where you fall short. You can make better decisions from a realistic standpoint and you’re able to walk away from useless goals. If you are interested in more information like this watch the video below.
